This is a true statement, but it is the basis for later difficulties with this exposition. A ritual can be symbolical, it can be a reality, or it can be both. The failure to see the reality in Christ's sacrifice, only focusing on the symbolical aspects of the sacrifice, is the basis for the failures of this paper.
